Just checking on everyone and saying Hi! How was your weekend? Lots of Snow? I was in Kelowna yesterday and we got about 3 inches of snow, Beautiful! Came back in to Kamloops today and everything is so nice! snow everywhere I love Canada and the seasons here. I don't get any snow back in Dominican as all of you probably know haha, and I just find it wonderful enjoying it here.

Hi Blackberry! How the jobhunting goes for you? Any other news? It`s great that finally you can have your license. I live in Fort McMurray, it was -30 for the last couple of days and it`s snowing. Yikes..I`m used to it by now, but don`t like to go out only for a very good reason. I wish I was in Nanaimo like you.

I finished 6 months since I sent my application to Vegreville....since than no email, no phone, no post, no e-cas, no message at all. I am afraid to have FOSS notes because it might put whole process in furthur more delays. I hope soon Christmas gift will come by postal mail & postman will be santa for me this time...............Have a nice time during Christmas season.....white Christmas

I got my work permit today. it took exactly a month since they received my request for OWP.
also they extended my stay for a year till 2011 Dec.
I take it your OWP application was a paper one (meaning not on-line), Asta?... 30 days just like it's posted in CIC's website timelines...

yes it was paper. i checked online and surprised when i saw that online app takes almost double as much as paper one. usually its other way round. so i chose paper!
anyways thanks everyone! tomorrow going for SIN and health card.
