The letter from Vegreville dated August 24, and the letter from Edmonton local office dated September 1.... but they arrived on same day! (I think I got them on September 3) Interesting....
If I were you, I would wait 2 weeks after the date they sent the letter out(the date on ecas) and if it did not arrive, then I would call CIC call center... but it might depend on your local office how fast they are like you said...? I am not sure...
Please post when you get your second letter! I wish you the best of luck!!
The agent called me and my husband into a room, she gave me some papers to verify if the my data was correctly written there. Then she made me sign a couple of documents and gave me my "permanent residence confirmation", which is a very important paper that you must keep for life, even after you get the citizenship.
She gave us a little reading of the rights and duties of permanent residents, asked us if we had any questions left. Gave us a couple of advices for certain bureaucracy processes (AS number) and welcomed me to Canada and wished us both a good day.
Is there enyone who has a dependant outside seeking for PR at the same time/process.
I'm curious how much longer to get PR in Canada if CIC has to check a dependant outside before. Does anybody have this kind of information?
Thank you, adzees, waynevega and MexicaTica! (and everyone here!)
I hope it will be a just "landing interview" but I have prepared some photos to show them if I needed... I am a bit nervous that if we are having a serious interview, then I am worried about my husband. He is not that kind of person who remembers what date we met for the first time, when we went for a first trip together, when he met my family...etc. He has even forgotten about my birthday twice!! I had him practice to remember those dates... well...at least he remembers our wedding day.
I will up date you guys! Please wish me luck tomorrow
As far as I have read in this forum, you are going to what is called an "examination interview", which is not "the interview" applicants are called to during the immigration process. This one is just a formality for them to get to see you and your sponsor in person and to confirm everything in your COPR document is accurate... Please, do tell us how it went tomorrow and best wishes for you and your husband, Mint.
i hope so .. so i can think about something else. Even though i have a post graduate work permit, Employers seem to not offer me the permanent position because of my status
Can't wait until I can say I am in process. Just a little while longer I guess.
And just a little while longer for other people to get their AIP and PR.
