I tried calling CIC and to check what the automated service tells me, but the first thing they ask for to identify is the Client-ID. My boyfriend/common-law partner is Canadian and doesn't have a Client-ID. So how can I be able to receive any information in regards to our application?
Good morning, Janadian!.
That must be what the agent advised you over the phone last week, that your hubby's Client ID was mistaken with someone else's but had been sorted out and placed in cue with everyone else...
A significant delay, unfortunately. 7 months. But the agent also said it wouldn't affect your timeline.. Perhaps AIP will follow soon, I'm hoping that's the case.
Stay strong, patient and best of luck!.
I have an update, too.
After 7 months waiting beacuse of my background check last week I sent a letter to the CSIS and ordered my FOSS notes.
And today my ecas has had a change:
A desicion has been made and you will be contacted. We sent you a letter on October 25. 2010........
Looks like they're updating e-cases for sure!.
That letter should arrive soon, Lillian!. Hopefully by friday... But if you can't wait, call the agents and they should be able to tell you what's up.
Best of luck!.
I have a feeling it's a favorable decision. The one where it says that your application has been completed and forwarded to your local office for them to schedule your landing appointment... may I ask where are you at?... Hope not in Toronto as they are busy here and the appointments are taking place 3 months after that Decision Made letter...
Windsor has to be a quicker one for sure!!!!!!!!!...
I'm all happy for you Lilian!.. Keeping my fingers crossed here!... What if your office is like the one in Oshawa where no appointment is needed and you drop-by anytime during business hours?... That would make you landed even before me!!!!!!!!!...
C'mon we need a good letter for you!.
I sent my inland PR/sponsorship application to Vegreville on Oct 1st and looking forward to see some progress so I checked the time frame for application processing and was quite surprised to find out about 8-9 months for first approval stage I thought it's suppose to take 8-9 months for the whole thing, not for the 1st stage only... or did I get it wrong? How long does it take to get first stage approval and also the whole process?
