Hi Folks,
I am starting this thread regarding Inland Spousal Interview Timelines also called (First Stage Interview) or AIP interview.
We had our interview at our local cic Vancouver office about 10 days ago. The interview went really well. The IO officer was satisfied with the interview and at the end he stated the decision will be mailed. He never mentioned any time frame. We haven't received the decision by mail yet and the online status still states "in process".
Now, what I want to know from you guys is; Who has been in the same situation like us or knows more about this process?
Is it normal that the IO mails the decision? If yes, usually how long does it takes for them to send a decision? Is there any time frame or does it depend upon a case to case basis?
Please share your timelines and specify both interview date and decision date (if it is not too personal). Or you can say that you got AIP at the same day of your interview or specify number of days after the interview.

I have met many people on this site and every case is different. Some Immigration Officers tell people on the spot and others take their time with the decision. It is irrelevant if they are nice or not. Human rights should be respected in these situations and Immigration Officers are professionals and should act like professionals. I have read horror stories but there is always one bad apple in a handful. Nobody here is going to be able to tell you what the outcome will be. It is best that you be prepared either way. As I said earlier, try and keep busy, you will drive yourself crazy worrying about it.
I agree with you kiwi
You are right that I should keep myself busy away from worrying about it..I hopefully get me decision very soon with AIP and OWP.
but its really hard to keep waiting..Thanks anyway
I go through this every day, several times a day as you did also. You waited to have this interview for a very long time and the good lord listened to your prayers and you got your interview. I know that you will be hearing something this week. I'd say go for a walk but if the weather is anything there like it is here forget it, minus 15 here.
