Hello everyone, I have a question regarding family class application. Your timely and kind response is really appreciated. I just received a letter stating "This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or CommonLaw Partner in Canada Class. It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements."
I don't really understand that and also I'm wondering if that will qualify me for Alberta health? Thanks to you for your help.
Looks like Approved In Principal (AIP) letter. Just informing you that you passed the eligibility check.
Can't say about Alberta, but Quebec seems to accept this letter for healthcare registration.

Since I recently (in February) got my own SA, I humbly disagree. The wording is completely different. At least in my case it started like this:
"This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted to this office on
behalf of {PA name} and family (if applicable).
We are pleased to inform that you have met the federal eligibility requirements as a sponsor." etc.

The application was filled March 12, received medical letter and completed that April 20. I received a letter for pre arrival services later. Now waiting for background check to be completed.
