Congrats Cindy!
If they haven't previously sent you a procedural fairness letter asking for additional relationship proof (e.g. cohabitation proof) then DM is 100% a positive sign. You have nothing to worry about here
I contacted my local MP's office after receiving DM, and they called IRCC this morning. I received a call from the MP's office at 7:53 am letting me know that I was approved. Just waiting on the landing interview letter to come now. I will stay with this group until everyone is finished. I can't believe it! PRAISE GOD!
I'm not for sure because I haven't gotten that far yet, but I've heard from others they ask to see your passport and sometimes they ask you when was the last time you crossed the Canadian border. They may also ask your sponsor if he/she understand their responsibility to you the applicant (financial, etc). I think it's only about a 10 minute interview..very straightforward from what I hear.
I successfully landed today at St. John’s, NL local office.
Here’s my timeline
AOR - August 23
Medical passed - December 28
SA approval - March 11
Principal applicant processing - February 9
Request for additional documents:
- Personal history: 2004/10 to 2007/12
- Address: 2004/10 to 2009/06
- Additional proof of cohabitation
- Additionally, they asked for fingerprints and police certificates from countries I lived for more than 6 months.
I submitted the first three documents on July 8, and I received an AIP letter on July 9.
I submitted police certificates and fingerprints on July 31
Decision Made on August 2
Landing Interview letter on August 7

Landed August 14, 2019[/QUOTE congratulations bro.how I wish I can also land soon
Thank you, Cindy. The interview was pretty straightforward. They asked if I have ever been denied entry to Canada, if I have committed a crime inside or outside Canada. And they asked my fiancée if she’s still my sponsor. All were yes or no questions. It didn’t last more than 10 minutes.
