My wife received a letter that includes this in the body of the message, "We are pleased to inform you that you meet all preliminary eligibility requirements of the category and therefore your application for permanent residence is approved." Is this the decision made form? It also makes reference to the RPRF that we mistakenly had not paid initially.
This letter does not request any action from what I can tell, are we still waiting for something to follow?

Wow! That sounds good. It says she meets the preliminary eligibility requirements..but then it says the app was approved. I don't understand that really...maybe someone else could give us a better idea, but it all sounds positive, for sure.

The document that is uploaded to her CIC account is titled, "Eligibility Passed", But her estimated processing time remains the same, counting down to the one-year anniversary of the application.

Can you copy paste exactly what it says?
Typically the AIP says:
“It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements. Please refer to future correspondence for further information on additional requirements.“
But you are saying that it says you were approved in that letter?
How long did you all wait for your notes to arrive? and is that business days or calendar days? I ordered my notes on June 20 and I am still waiting. I assume this is normal.
They say to allow 31 calendar days from the first business day *after* you order and that notes often get sent out late on that last day. If they don’t arrive by then you can send an email inquiry using the tracking number they emailed you when you requested the notes. My set was a few days overdue, I sent an inquiry, and they sent the notes within the hour— I think they wait til the very last minute on principle, and then sometimes forget altogether if you don’t follow up.

You can order your GCMS Notes to see what is happening with your application. For inland applicants it’s free. It takes about a month so it’s not a current snapshot by the time the notes arrive, but sometimes if people haven’t had any updates they order the notes to see what’s been happening or if the file is somehow “stuck.” The notes show the work agents have been doing on the file (background check, security, approving sponsor, etc).
