There is a update on ecas

1. We received application for permanent residence on August 16, 2018.
2. We started processing application on February 21, 2019.
3. We sent medical instructions on November 15, 2018. To avoid delays, please provide us with the information requested as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
4. Medical results have been received.

We got the same update. ECAS has an additional line "We started processing application on February 19, 2019".

What's next after this? And approx timeline?

Status changed on the applicant's side to read that they started processing the application on February 20th (August 7th app).

For everyone who's able to check status through ECAS, do you get the same data if you called the 800# and checked the file status?

The reason I'm asking is because I have 0 ECAS access for Sponsor and Principal Applicant (I've tried with receipt #, file #, and both uci's) The file is linked to GCKey but I find ECAS gets updated more.

Hi,

CIC Ivr provides the most current and up to date information about your sponsorship application. I get much more details from the Ivr vs Ecas...i don't have access to the gc key.

When did u send ur application?

Sent Application: August 16, 2018 Application Delivered: August 31, 2018 (It was supposed to arrive the next day (Xpresspost! within Ontario!!!)but took 15 days, come on Canada Post)
AOR Received: September 26, 2018, 2:15 PM EST Application linked: September 26, 2018, 2:48 PM EST
Medical Request Received: November 14, 2018, 1:04 PM EST (got an email from CIC)
Medical Exam Done: November 21, 2018 Medical Passed: November 28, 2018 (no email or a message ) Started processing PR application on February 19, 2019

I'm also in the same boat right now. Next step is we should be getting sponsor approval, then approval in principle (AIP) follows almost immediately, and often the same day from what I've read. Next will be decision made on the applicant's side and you'll then wait for correspondence for an interview!

Everyone in july is getting their dm on both sides, so august applicants are hopefully next. And, we july applicant never got this update for processing, we directly got AIP and dm. So, i guess ,it just depends.

I'm not too sure. It seems that some June and July(I think?) apps are receiving decision made on both sides though!

It's not the same info. Ecas will tell you when your app starts processing on PA side. Also for some it's shown DM before getting any notifications on gckey. In any case both systems have very limited information and as you can tell from other people's timelines, they provide very little indication of when to expect the next step.
