Do we always receive an email when the GC Key notification changes? or do we simply need to check it from time to time.

I haven’t received an email, I am checking everyday in case something changes. I have seen people discovering that they were requested additional documents like a month after the fact because it changed on either ECAS or GCKEY and were not notified by email.

In my case, the gckey updated without notification this time.

Hey guys. I have checked with CIC call centre. My file has transferred to Etobicoke office after the status changed to checking background check. SA was Received from Montreal office. It is better to call CIC and check which office is processing your application as files keep moving. So probably who are still thinking their application is in Montreal office is already transferred to another office.

Any idea how long does it take from Etobicoke office to get DM on primary applicant after they start the background check

Finally some movement.... Gckey changed to processing your background check timeline in signature. SA was Montreal office 12th march

They require new schedule A and travel info (imm5669 and imm5562) by 23rd May. My documents are now local (Vancouver) I shall be getting this done tonight! Hope everyone else waiting gets some progress too, let's bring on the landing interview!

My local office, Calgary also requested these forms from me last week. Have you travel outside Canada since the processing of your application started? Just wondering why some of us got this request and others didn't. I went on a vacation in December last year.

Hard to say, it can take days to weeks depending which office you are nearby. I heard Vancouver is the worst.

Call in notice may 8 for May 22
Rescheduled to May 14 at 830 am
