I just got through on the phone — same as you, background check still not started. Early August applicant, MR accepted in November, SA in mid-April, no updates since. File is in Montreal (although we’re not in Quebec). They were very kind and nice but could only really tell me “the average time is 12 months, just keep waiting.”

Anybody else from August 2018 still waiting for something after SA (March 7)? (BGC still not started). Please give some hope.

Im tempted to order my GCMS notes but it looks like a painful process and not sure if I’m going to find anything interesting

I ordered my notes and it’s actually pretty easy! I still haven’t received them, but once I found the right website ordering them was fairly painless— and free!

Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

I got SA in MAR and AIP last month. Background check started almost 1 month ago. Have not not DM on application side.
What this correspondence could be? does anyone have ideas?

Same here, nothing after SA and DM on sponsor side. Eligibility and BGC not started on applicant side. August 1st.

just called cic today and the automated message changed to we are processing your background check around 11:55 am today.
how long from this stage guys -and finally montreal is moving

i don’t have a gckey as i have a representative but no changes to my ECAS

It’s good to see October and November people getting Montreal updates but it’s also making me pretty jealous haha
