How long did you wait from DM letter to your landing interview letter? I got the DM letter and waiting for the etobicoke to send me the appt. Did u receive a letter or a phone call? THanks and congratulations!

Guys i just recieved this ... is it a DM ? and how long it takes for the office to schedule an appointment ? Thanks..

Etobicoke can take 6 weeks to schedule. They were quoting 6-8 weeks, but they've been getting a bit faster recently.

This is what my application profile looks like on cic site

Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
Final decision Not Started

How long does it normally takes to do a background check? My police report was sent in with my application.

Based on that Review of Eligibility is now stating Review in Progress, switch to watching ECAS. My MyCIC stopped here and did not update beyond identical to what yours shows now---until I returned from my landing appt. Watch ECAS to switch to Decision Made on Sponsor AND applicant side. I'm sure the sponsor side says Decision made now...or will tomorrow if not.

Just enter the sposnors info. https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

Even though my husband receive SA letter on November 30, 2016. I still says in process on ecas. I hope it wasn't sent in error. Is that normal?
Do you think I should call cic to clarify?

It shows background in progress since we managed to link the account (last December). They haven't assess the eligibility of my wife (PA) and it still shows not started. They haven't approved me yet as the sponsor. Now 18.5 months in the process....

Yes, all sponsors info. The sponsor has its own UCI. I'm the sponsor and I check ecas almost everyday. I never used the application number, but it should work as well. I'm always using my UCI number to log in.

I just looked at my ECAS, it says decision made. I'm beyond excited

OMG, we are on same landing office.. maybe we will have it on same schedule too!!! will keep in touch! Me and Kapilhere got the DM letter at the same time last week. yahoo!!!! still waiting..

Please let me know once you hear anything from cic. I will do the same.
