What should I select in "Type of File you are requesting" while requesting for GCMS notes? Sponsor's file or Immigration file? Basically I just want to know the actual status of my Sponsorship application so far. FYI, I am the person being sponsored.

That seems normal. I applied July 2015 and still only got AOR. Inland is a SLOW process. If you get to 16 months and nothing then call/order gcms notes. Did you get OWP?

After uploading documents using Case Specific Enquiry (I agree about the nuisance of having a 3.5mb limitation), how long does it take for the records to be shown as received on the CIC Status Check? It's been about a week and we have nothing. We never received any confirmation emails either.

If you are in Canada or a Canadian, you do not need to pay the $5.00 fee. Just select Privacy act.
 
It has been almost a month after I handed in the finger print report...and nothing updated.
Feel worried again :(
