Hello, Please what is the next stage after i have received my CSQ and how long does it take the cic to write me they have received my CSQ and the steps i need to follow regarding getting a new work permit.
Thanks
Hello! First of all, are u applying inland or outland?
Im applying inland, from quebec. After receiving the csq in paper, u'll get two copies: one says immigration, that one u need to sent it back to CIC, the other one you keep it safe (ur gonna need it for future quebec tramits, ex. Health inssurance.) for the open work permit, you first need to have get an AIP (approuval in Principle) usually comes after CSQ and in some cases, an interview) AIP is a letter that says that u can now send and app for work or student permit. If u are already in Quebec, with the AIP letter plus ur CSQ u can go request health insurance even before ur Permanent residence is confirm.
Hope this helps!!! Good luck and God bless!
I forgot to tell u that canada doesnt confirm the reception of csq, in my case, to be sure, i sent it with tracking by mail. I knew they received cuz post canada told me, but anyway my hubby call to confirm and they told him that "it was confidential" so they would not verbally confirm the arrival of csq... He tried to insist and they told him 6 to 8 months to AIP... Grrrrrrrrr i hope it goes faster!! We're on our 4 month, thought,
I applied inland from Quebec. All of my info (dates) is listed in my signature below. October applicant, CSQ received in late February. You do not have to send a copy of the CSQ to CIC; MICC should do that. I did email CIC to confirm that my CSQ was received, and they did confirm receipt by email. I am not sure, but I would assume that the CSQ has to be received to complete stage one and receive AIP.
I still haven't received AIP, and it has been close to 8 months since my application was received.
