Need one info. I am on a study permit in Canada which is about to expire by coming Mar 2018. My spouse is in Canada on a SOWP. I have done my masters from Canada and plan to apply for post graduate work permit before Mar 2018. I want to know if my spouse can qualify for a open work permit basis my post graduate work permit or my job offer is required for her to apply for a open work permit. I have heard that she can as of now apply only as a visitor and once I have a job offer she can apply for a SOWP.
Your spouse can only applied to extend the OWP once you have a job that is NOC A, B or 0 and have started that job and can provide a few pay slips (a job offer isn't sufficient - you must have actually started the job).
