Indirect route from India

Anyone recently travelled to Toronto from India on Etihad via Abudabhi ? How long to get back the results of RTPCR test done at Abudabhi airport ? Is a layover of 5 and half hour enough. Trying to book tickets but wanted to be sure based on anyone who has travelled. Thanks

Hi, is the RTPCR testing at https://www.newdelhiairport.in/covid19-test-appointment-booking, accepted by air canada? My flight is scheduled for Oct 29, and Canada is only accepting tests by Genestrings. So is the booking made at this website, the same as Genestrings?

Let me share my experience.
My flight was on 15th Oct at 3 AM From Delhi to Toronto.

reached Delhi on 13th at 11:50 PM (Teached early because next domestic flight was on 14th night and than I won’t have enough time to do COVOD test)

stayed in Hotel inside the airport for 24 hours.

during my stay on 14th Oct in morning 10AM I went for RTPCR test near metro station and than came back to room.

I was in line for more than an hour and everything was done by 11:30 AM .

on 14th afternoon at 2:48 I received my result for COVID 19 and it was negative .

left my hotel room at 11:30 PM in night and went for checkin .

big line up again and no management.
air india will ask you for COVID 19 negative report, arrive can app , and visa or PR card .

after that security and than immigration.

I am happy to reach Canada on 15th October becuase my citizenship oath is on 16th October.

I went to india on 29th sep and return on 15th Oct. ticket was 1300$ . I bought ticket 40 days before departure.

1)After we land. at the immigration point. do we have to provide all the original documents that we uploaded to IRCC?
2) Should we share the updated bank statement as proof of funds? or the statement that was uploaded almost a couple of years ago would suffice?

Do we need to do a test again in Abu Dhabi for connecting flight to Mumbai?
Do we need to do test again in Mumbai after Landing?

While returning - do we need to do the test in Mumbai first and then in Abu Dhabi as well? How much layover in Abu Dhabi is recommended?

I will be traveling with 4 yr old kids, so please provide guidance if testing for kids under 5 is mandatory for all the routes?

Hello..if i am taking a flight of Air India or Air Canada from DEL to YYZ with negative RT-PCR from genestrings lab..do i not need RT-PCR even if there is a layover?

What I understand was they will accept the result from the genestrings lab. It doesn’t matter whether you are coming direct or through third country. But you need to contact the airline and confirm that you can travel.
