my parents have canada visa until 2021 multiple entry
and usa visa until 2023 multiple entry
Travel from india to canada (vancover march 2 stay in canada for 5 months at daughter house)
then travel by road to usa to seattle stay in USA for 5 months leaving december 28 to india
my questions are when they enter usa do they have any problem entering USA
also when ariving in canada max stay is 6 months (there wont be a exit stamp by land to usa) do the canada know that i left
See this link re entry/exit records by land, Canada and the US share immigration information.
https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/btb-pdf/ebsiip-asfipi-eng.html
There is of course never any guarantee that anyone can stay for 5 months so that will be determined by CBSA on arrival based on assessment of the traveller at the time. So usual things such as financial status or plans for extended stay and return ticket to return to home country.
As for the US same applies although should probably expect a more intensive assessment for a 5 month stay focusing on when will exit the US after having spent 5 months in Canada.
For such a long stay in both Canada and the US on same trip should expect more immigration questions than a short stay single country traveller. Ultimately no way to predict and possibly will have no issues at all, but just pays to be prepared with answers that will satisfy both CBSA and CBP.
