What's the date showing on BLS Site? You should have it mostly by next week as postal application take a bit more time to be acknowledged and processed.

On bls site, it shows August 29,2023.

With emergency visa and entry visa available with 10 days processing time, why you want to take that route?

Even for entry visa, Surrender certificate is required and it will be 4 weeks to get Surrender certificate and further 4 weeks. we might not be able to get visa on time for travel as tickets were booked 6 months in advance

Yes received Canadian Passport just last month and travel plan in Jan
Stuck in middle to surrender and apply for visa with only 2 months and might not receive on time

If its not Ottawa, 3 weeks for SC and 10-15 days for entry-visa, you should have everything by Dec.

You should have applied for SC if you got passport last month.

Finally some movement.
Status on Passport Sewa website - SC printed
But on BLS site it still shows Processing at high commission.
I opted for pickup, any idea when it should be ready for pickup at BLS office?

Arnd ~5 days. It should change to "In Transit from High Commission to BLS Centre" and then "Ready for Collection" on BLS site.

I agree, should have done SC by now. made poor decision to wait for visa situation

I have a quick question, I have an appointment for the visa can I use that one for OCI submission?
For OCI submission Demand draft will be created in favour of "High Commission of India, Ottawa” / “Consulate General of India, Toronto” / Consulate General of India, Vancouver" or only the Consulate General of India, Toronto? do we have to mention the address as well of the Consulate General of India, Toronto?

No change after printed happens on passport side. All changes will henceforth happen on BLS site.
