13-Jul-2023: In Process at Consulate
19-Jul-2023: Certificate granted
19-Jul-2023: Certificate printed
19-Jul-2023: In Transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre
20-Jul-2023: Ready for dispatch
20-Jul-2023: Dispatched via Courier
21-Jul-2023: Certificate received

I wasn't able to track on passport site or passport seva login since BLS helped me with form corrections and had to initiate new form via their login. I was able to track on BLS site though so that was helpful.

I had applied for Surrender Certificate via walk-in appointment last week at BLS Brampton and below is my timeline.

7/12 - Applied via walk-in in the morning
7/18 - Certificate Issued by Consulate
7/19 - On the way to BLS
7/20 - Dispatched by BLS
7/21 - Received via Purolator in the morning

I also had the photos (two photos) taken at BLS while submitting the application to avoid them rejecting the photos submitted by me.
It cost 30$. Another 30$ for Purolator drop off.

Total Cost = 130$ Application Fee + 30$ Photo + 30$ Purolator Drop Off = 190$

Yes, we did.. its mentioned in the slip they give you when you opt for in person collection...

How slow is Ottawa High Commission? I submitted my application on June 30th. It's still showing under review at the High Commission of India. Any similar timeframe anyone else has?

Hi, did you see any movement in your SC processing yet? I am a few days behind you and mine is still with HC so wondering whats the delay with Ottawa HC

Wow that Is extremely slow for Ottawa. I submitted my SC application at Brampton on July 12th and received my SC via purolator on July 21st. Total of 9 days from submission.

No. still the same status. It's with High Commission still under processing stage.

That's great. Yeah, Ottawa is seriously slow. Quite afraid now of how long the OCI card will take after I apply. For the surrender certificate, it is already 24 days for me and counting.

Yah, that is why I was trying to understand the dela. But anyway we are still under the 3/4 week timeline so hopefully this week. *fingers crossed*

yup- same situation here. I might just get a visa at this point.

Not really and SC or OCI topic but folks in ON please make sure you get your immigration status updated on the OHIP by visiting Service Ontario location.
Take your original Citizenship Certificate, OHIP card and Driver's License (or any other proof like Photo ID or the Canadian Passport).
There is no fee involved and you do not need to fill out the form.
One parent can do that for their children as well under 16. You cannot do it on behalf of your spouse.
