@2017CanadaHo! I just got surrender certificate with cancelled passport delivery from Ourolator 5 minutes back. But my other 2 applications still doesn't have tracking number on BLS wesbite
Hello Mitron , I am about to apply for my Indian Passport surrender. I was wondering if its preferable to apply in person over applying via mail. Also for walk-in is it better to go to Brampton or Toronto? I appreciate any insight/advice on this. Thanks in advance!

Bhai that’s what I said to email BLS, check my other post on the OCI thread for their email address.
There was a weeks’s gap between my wife’s and my (and the kids) surrender certificate status to be updated on BLS. Thankfully I did not had to reach out got BLS for the surrender certificate collection.

Hi guys, when applying for Indian Passport Surrender in BLS Toronto, it shows that there are no dates for April or May. But there are dates for Visa. Does the type of application matter when going to BLS Toronto? Can I pick up a date for Visa and go do my Indian Citizenship Surrender application instead?
I know it's shady to do so, and I don't want to; but they don't accept walk-ins either. So there are very few options sadly

Try weekday walk-ins may be after 10 AM or so. One of my neighbor reached around 10:30 AM (last week) and there were 3 folks ahead of him it seems. I was there on a Saturday at 9 AM (in March) and there was no line - so it's about your luck that day...
Are you sure? I went for a walk-in in March at BLS Toronto (Lawrence location); and when I got there, they had already told the people gathered that they don't accept Walk-Ins anymore and to go home. I waited there in -10 C for 2 hours, and the walk-in line never moved at all.
