My surrender certificate is printed and i had chosen delivery to home when applying at BLS. I am in US and will return in few days. Can my brother or anyone at the address sign for the letter when it is being delivered to my address? or it has to be the person it is addressed to (me). . Thanks
Thanks. I called BLS and the agent said that anyone at address can sign. Ill head back to Canada and not take a chance. They only keep it for 5 business days after missed delivery

Submitting on behalf of my wife. Do we need to send the "checklist form" along with the mentioned documents? I remember when I sent last year, had submitted it.
Also anyone recently submitted the Surrender application, how much demand draft has to be included with the documents if sending via mail?
Indian citizens acquiring any foreign citizenship on or after 1 June, 2010 – C$ 119.00
In addition to the prescribed fee mentioned above, an applicant would be required to pay C$3 on account of Consular Surcharge + BLS service fee of C$ 7.40 (inclusive of applicable taxes.)
Total $129.40
Do I need to include the Purolator charges also in this?

You just opt for the Pickup and Dropoff as it is the cheapest one. You will be provided with the two labels, one is with pickup and another is with dropoff, and moreover Purolator guy will be coming to your place to pick your documents.

I tried this, and it worked for both me and my spouse. We chose for pickup and drop-off, and I received the label via email within 15 minutes. And I recommended it in our WhatsApp group; many people have taken it, and there have been no complications so far. Also, their WhatsApp service is amazing. You can try it out.
Yes from my knowledge and experience, it was worth the service. One of my friend suggested me, and I followed his steps, my OCI is processing at BLS OFFICE safely, hahahah.
Anyways if youre facing any issues regarding the surrender, please ping. As i have received my Indian passport along with the surrender certificate within 20 days.
hmm, that's what I thought, most of the members who advocate this are 'Newbie' and that threw me off.
I called BLS and requested for Postal link ($101 for pickup and drop), the person on the other side messed up the street name / address and was not able to correct it. It seems I have to go in person to get this thing done. What a waste of time!

Hello everyone, this might be a repeated question. I do not have my Canadian Passport as of yet, it is still, under processing. I got an appointment on my day off from work to surrender Indian Passport. Can I still do it with my Canadian Citizenship Certificate ?
Thank you in advance.

Submitted my spouse's application at BLS Toronto for Passport Surrender. Everything went smooth until the counter lady pointed out mistake in the photograph. She had hairs in front of the shoulder which was "apparently" not allowed, luckily we had taken a new photograph a day before. She handed the new photograph to BLS lady, to which she said this is "OLD" picture. My wife asked her to flip the picture and refer to the date on the back to which the BLS lady felt a little embarrassed.
