Indian passport surrender

I'm applying for Surrender Certificate on Passport Seva but it doesn't give me any option to select whether present address is in India or outside. It expects my address to be in India - see picture:

Am I doing something wrong? Is the site just broken?

there is an option to choose present address in india-yes or no check carefully .

When you submit your application file number is created on passport seva site. Something like 23-2001101011
You should have it.

Hello, Our Surrender application shows "Ready for dispatch" in BLS site. When called BLS call centre they told you can come pick it up whenever you want. Ours is a Walk-in submission. We were waiting for "Ready for Collection" status. The call centre person told that sometimes it shows like that and sometimes when it says Ready to dispatch that also means you can collect it. He says our application reached the site by May 1st. Have you seen anyone experience the same by any chance. thankyou.

You are right there are two Passport Seva sites:

1. this one is for Indians to use in India - https://www.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink#
2. this one is for NRIs to use abroad - https://portal3.passportindia.gov.in/Online/welcomeLink?request_locale=en

Sometimes this can be confusing.

Did you pay for courier ? If no, you can go and collect it. The status on BLS site is opposite of what's expected in many cases.

hello all, I submitted my surrender application in May 4th for me and my son. My son’s is already dispatched but mine say in review on passport portal. Is this expected. It frustrates me as to why they can’t process both together.

On passport sewa site the status is: Surrender Certificate application form has been submitted.

The application status on BLS tracker changed to: In Transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre
This is for my passport cancellation certificate, any idea how much time it takes from here to receive the courier ?
My OCI walk-in appointment is on 27th May.

Every application is processed individually. There is no family application concept for surrender and OCI but mostly they follow similar timelines.

Me and my spouse are submitting Indian surrender application tomorrow at Brampton location.
In form, where we need to fill details of parents name and spousal name as per indian passport, they have also box where we need to add Nationality of spouse. so will this be "Canadian" or "Indian"? I am little confused as details should go as per indian passport or updated info??

It will be Canadian as her oath, certificate and passport is done.
