I submitted my passport renewal in BLS Vancouver on October 9th. I see the last update on October 15th that a file number was generated but no update after that. Current status is as below. I have a flight coming up on November 29th and getting really anxious. Tried reaching out to consulate but have not gotten a response yet. Do you guys think I will get my passport in time ?

Nothing yet, no status change yet, last update is on October 15.
I submitted my application on Oct 23rd 2024 and as of today it shows the status as "Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate". Not sure why the delay. No one from Police Department turned up at my home in India for Police verification. I wonder if there is a way to reach out to BLS and track the exact status. Anyone who experienced similar situation can you share if you know any Point of Contact who can help with the tracking?

Here's my timeline for the passport renewal process. The wait time was really frustrating and monitoring others timelines gave me an idea of the wait time for each step during the renewal. So here I am sharing my timeline. Hope it helps someone
I applied to BLS Vancouver through postal application. It took me approximately 7 weeks’ time for the entire process (54 days). The PV initiation and the printing initiation happened at the same time, not sure why.

I have submitted my passport for renewal to BLS Vancouver through postal application. It was received at the embassy on November 5th, 2024 and the last update was on November 12th, 2024 (Granting initiated). No update since then. I have to travel to India in January. Wish the processing was faster!

Did you manage to get your passport before the booked travel date? If not, could you please tell how you managed the situation.

Does anyone knows if having your address verified by Police verification during PCC application less than 3 years helps skipping Police verification during passport renew application?
