Hi there,

On my EE profile, I put down an unpaid internship which I now know I shouldn't have.
I received an ITA and now cannot remove that job from my work history.
Should I decline the ITA and start a fresh?

Removing this, would take my foreign experience from 2 years and 3 months to 1 year and 3 months. I have high marks in my EN test scores and I don't think this would affect my points. I have done a few CRS tools and my points stay the same. They are also higher than the cut off for the round I was offered the ITA.

Can I explain this in a letter of explanation and upload that where they ask for my employment letter for this job or am I best to decline and go back into the pool? I am worried it will look like I was misrepresenting information.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If it does not affect your points (or not enough to drop you below the ITA threshold for your draw), you can upload a letter of explanation. It will not be seen as misrepresentation if you just explain your mistake.
