Dear all members,
if my birth certificate has incorrect dob, where as all the other documents have correct dob, should I make an affidivat for Immigration Officer mentioning that was a typing error? Where can I do this in UK ? Instead of affidavit, can we attest that document through authorized people (probably dentists, lawyers, councilor?)
Regards
Yasir

I am not very sure about answer of your question. What i did.... My name and date of birth has error in Birth certificate only, my all other documents, educational, passports, ids having same name. I contacted my embassy ( i am living abroad), they requested me passport and national id and they issued birth certificate following my name and date of bith of pasport and national ID. Here still i am not sure if CIC will accept, but i hope, as its issued by one governments issuing authority. So if you can do this, i guess would be fast and easy solution.
Birth certificate issued by embassy / High commission is acceptable as per some people shared in this forum. I have submitted my application with birth certificate issued by embassy as I am living overseas.
