Income Prove for Spousal Sponsorship?

I am from Hong Kong and now visiting my boyfriend in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I am now considering to relocate here and have 3 choices to do so:-
1. Skilled worker - but accoutants not on list now
2. PNP of Nova Scotia - but not get any employment offer to apply for this
3. Spousal sponsorship


My boyfriend is a Canadian citizen and we are advised option 3 is the best choice to get me to immigrate to Canada...

However, my boyfriend does not have any income for the time being though he is willing to be the sponsor if we get married. He is not on any social assistance or bankrupt, but he cannot have prove of income to show that he could support me for the 3 years period, will this be a problem? What if I have enough assets/equity to support myself for those 3 years requirement, will this work out??

What can we do now?? Please advice.

There's no income requirement for spousal, but you do need to make it clear that you both will actively look for work and show how you can support yourselves (savings, bonds etc). It needs to be enough to support both of you.

If you have assets/equity sufficient to support yourselves, then definitely include proof of this in the application. You should outline what your plans are when you arrive: where you and he will look for work and what kind, where you'll live, school if applicable, how you'll support yourselves while waiting for employment, etc. So you should state you will be living off of your savings until you get a job as an accountant, or whatever.

Does the immigration office has guideline how much is consider enough to support both of us?

Currently the income cut-off for two persons is somewhere between $27,000 and $28,000, last time I looked anyways. Do NOT be worried if you don't meet that, it will not be measured against whatever income you submit.
