In the forms, the boxes given for signature are editable. Do I also need to fill name also ?

Hi..
In the forms for spousal sponsorship application,
the boxes given for signature are editable. (I means it is possible to type into them)
So does that mean that I need to type name ...and then print it.. and after that do signatures on in the space left?

I mean is there any real purpose of those boxes being editable ?
or I just need to sign inside the box after printout.

One of the forms schedule a ask for a name to be typed in the box and then you also need to sign by hand
