In Canada with a full-time job on a PGWP. Can I leave Canada then re-enter it?

I took one shot of Moderna already, so was wondering what the travel restrictions are for those of us with valid work permits and jobs in Canada. I'd like to visit my mom back home since she's sick (diagnosed with cancer) and am wondering if I'll have any issues getting back into Canada?

As long as you hold a valid TRV / eTA, you should have no issues coming back.

Sorry for my ignorance, but by TRV do you mean that thing glued to my passport? Or the actual work permit?

Because if it's the former, mine will expire this November since it's a student one. Would I need to apply for a new TRV now that I have a PGWP?

You need a new TRV. The TRV (even though hasn’t expired) was tied to your study permit.

Yes TRV is the stamp that's glued to your passport, and it doesn't matter if it's linked to your previous study permit, only matters if it's a multiple entry visa as like most of them are. If it is, then you can return before november, or you'd have to apply for a new one.
