Implied status- Requesting for workpermit

Currently, i have a Implied status.I got my ITA in my last draw. Can i apply for workpermit extension?Someone told me that CIC will take 45 days to verify my documents and after that i Can apply for my workprmit extension? Is this true?

You cannot apply for a WP extension (BOWP) since you're already in implied status. If you're in implied status, it means that you must've applied for something and you're waiting for a decision. If you had not applied for a new visa/permit before your visa expired, you're not in implied status.
