I am a Canadian sponsoring my wife for PR. We have been living together for the past 7 years, married for 4. I have literally met everyone that would be considered "close" or "family" as per question 11 (Did your sponsor meet any of your close friends or family?).
We obviously have a very real relationship (we even have a son together).
Can my wife just put "he knows everyone that I am close to and is close to many of them himself"
Or do we need to put some specifics?
There is a similar question in the Sponsor's documents, to which we would have the same answer but in reverse. It just seems ridiculous to list every family member we've met, since we both know each other's family super well.
No, she can't just put that; the question needs to be answered properly. You don't need to list every single person you've met; just fill in the provided spaces with the closest family/friends.
what about filling in 4 of the 5 slots, then adding something along those lines? Picking the five "closest" seems arbitrary and does not reflect the fact that we both know each other's families extremely well.
if you really want to tell them you know everyone she has ever met in her life and is connected to, put that somewhere else in the application where they ask about your relationship. I agree, not filling out the questions as intended can possibly work against you. Or if you really really want to put that information in THAT question, fill in the answers that is asked, and use another piece of paper to explain you know more.
I'm already attaching a document with answers that did not fit in the boxes, so I will do that. I'll fill in 5 names in the boxes and put a note in the overflow doc that says "he has met all of my relatives and close friends". Thanks for the advice.
