IMM 5709E Cost of My Studies & Funds Available

Hi everyone,

I intend to extend my stay as a student in Canada and is now filling in the IMM5709E form.

I am a little confused about Cost of My Studies & Funds Available sections:

[size=10pt]1.Should I calculate the total cost of the 5 years of my university study or just for the following year?
2.Should I fill in the funds available now or should I predict how much will be available throughout the following 5 years?[/size]

I make it clear.
If you're applying for study permit extension. You need to show sufficient money in your bank account. In website it is mentioned as one year tuition + 1 year living expenses. I applied for extension showing around $8000. Some people get extension with $1500 also .
But as you said , you need a extension of 5 years ? [ I'm still confused about extension of 5 year ? ] , So show some good amount like 35k-40k. And while filling the form. In amount section , put the same amount which your bank statement is showing.

I am graduating from high school this year and have got admission to McMaster University.
The co-op program takes 5 years. I checked online, tuition for 1 school year is 28000.

So I guess I'll just enter 28000 for the section asking me "Cost of my studies will be".
If it's asking me for cost for 5 years, that would be 150,000! That would be far more than the amount on my bank statement.
