IMM 5669 Schedule A - Background Declaration

My husband, a Canadian who is sponsoring me for my PR application.

when filling IMM 5669 Schedule A - Background Declaration, i filled out one for myself and checked the box principle applicant. However, there is also a box saying spouse of principle applicant.

So does that mean my husband also have to fill an IMM 5669 Schedule A - Background Declaration too? even tho he is Canadian??

The sponsor does not fill out any applicant forms.

Many of the forms are generic and used for different immigration streams where both the PA and their spouse are immigrating.
