If you are a PR, you must reside in Canada in order to sponsor your spouse.

My Wife is having Canada PR as a Quebec skilled worker and she is staying in Montreal,Canada since May 2013. She has applied for spouse sponsorship and I have got the quebec selection certificate. Now, my application has gone for further processing in local office of High Commission of Canada, New Delhi, India.

My inquiry is whether my wife can Visit India for sometime now? I am having a doubt because I read somewhere in the guidelines that your wife cannot visit India till your sponsorship case is in process.

Generally, sponsorship application takes more than 12 months to complete and it is really hard to stay away for such a long time. Is there a way we can stay together for some time until my case is processed?

she can't leave for long term visits. she can go on short visits, as long as she maintains residence in canada. she should not be going on trips that seem unlikely an everyday employed person would go on if they are working/living in canada, ie: keep trips to 2-3 weeks max.

As mentioned above, your PR wife cannot stay with you while PR processing is complete. She can only come visit you for short visits, (2-3 weeks period).

You can try applying for a TRV to come and visit her.
