Hi,
No my work permit is not rejected. I have got AOR for my PR application under CEC (Canadian Ex. Class).
I am starting this thread to know if any has applied for Bridge Open work permit before four moths of expiry of his current work permit (I need to do it). If Yes, does the application got approved or Rejected but only if applied before 4 months.
Please reply with the number of month remaining for your current work permit and Status (Approved/Rejected).
Yes, there have been cases where people applied before the 4 months windows and got the BOWP
approved. But I guess that only works in individual cases and is based on the situation.
They all attached a letter of explanation explaining why they needed they BOWP sooner.
There's no guarantee to whether it works or not.
Mine was just approved and my closed work permit was until Oct 2014.
However, I explained in explanation letter that I had been let go from the workplace that permit was for in May 2013 due to a lack of work and was currently unemployed. I also stated that my original contract was only until October 2013.
So depending on your circumstances you might have the permit approved. It can also depend on who is processing the application. There's definitely a risk and it's not a guarantee, but there is a chance in the right situations.
Even i wana apply for bowp...but my wp is till oct 2014..... i m so frustrated at my work place ....
But dont know how to do i mean what to explain...its like employer takes advantage n lot of fishy things....

If you have $150 to spare, you can try to apply and see what happens. Maybe you're lucky. There's nothing
else you can do, apart from finding a new employer who's willing to apply for a LMO for you.
Do you mind telling when you applied for BOWP? is it a paper application? I called cic this morning and they said that they cannot give information on the status unless the application reached them before August 15 for paper applications, (as per the current processing times on their website).
