For those who are preparing for IELTS I would recommend that you visit www.ielts-blog.com which provides practice tests, strategies, etc.
However, before you go there its a good idea to first complete the official IELTS Cambridge material thoroughly. Once you know the standard format and the flow you can go to this blog.
I personally found the tips very useful because they tell you how to answer the question, anticipate the answers, etc. One important lesson when doing listening is to put a line after the set of 3-4 questions (which the audio deals with) so you avoid rushing beyond those. In case of listening you can mark the answer and later copy it for which you are given separate time. But for reading and other sections the answers have to be directly put on the Answer sheet/grid as soon as you know the answer. Apart from this there are several other tips which can help you get a 7+ score. And even if few question are missed or you find difficulty, there are ways to minimize errors.
