On what basis did you calculate this? I mean if I filled in my free assessment form and gave myself a score of 8 on the Language proficiency section, my total points come upto a 63. I am falling short of 4 points.
How much would I have to score on the IELTS, in order to help me qualify to file for immigration.
Can you help answer my question.
Thanks
Basis of language points based on ielts results:
speaking - 6.5 - 9 (4 points) ; 5.5 - 6 (2 points)
writing - 6.5 - 9 (4 points) ; 5.5 - 6 (2 points)
reading - 6.5 - 9 (4 points) ; 5 - 6 (2 points)
listening - 7.5 - 9 ( 4 points) ; 5.5 - 7 ( 2 points)
Note: overall band score is disregarded on this matter.
Now on the basis of the above calculations, you can determine how much should be your score individually on the IELTS to reach the passmark...

can u give some speaking tips ?
I got 8 band because I spent 7 years in UK. I think if you want to improve your speaking, you get together with some friends and do topics from Ielts 1 - 7 speaking tests.
Best of luck
