Hi, I need your help, I got my scores in the ielts,
reading 8.5, listening 8.0
Speaking 6.5, writing 5.5. My overall score is 7. Shall I do the ielts again because of the score of writing 5.5 , because it's less than 6?
Please help, your feedback is much appreciated

What are you applying for?
If you want to immigrate - YES would be the answer since "6" is the minimum for most of the categories under Express Entry
Yes it's for immigration under the federal skilled worker program, even though in the come to canada tool it says that I'm eligible?

From CIC:
Language ability
You must:
Meet the minimum language level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7, and
Take a language test approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) that shows you meet the level for speaking, listening, reading and writing.
You must show that you meet the requirements in English or French by including the test results when you complete your Express Entry profile.
Your test results must not be more than two years old on the day you apply for permanent residence.
Thank you very much, appreciate your help

Your scores are very close - best of luck!
If i want to apply under Canadian Experience Class working under NOC B category .. Will it accept CLB 6 IELTS score.. (L-7 , S- 6.5 , R-6.5, W-5.5) .. Most says its must to score CLB 7 for express entry profile eligibility..

1. With Noc B for languages in CEC it is CLB 5 so you qualify

The minimum score would be a "6" for ALL four sections - your scores are too low

What is your band score in each ability. You need a minimum of 6 in each ability i.e speaking, listening, reading and writing to be qualified for fsw

They don't look at overall band - they look at individual scores.
And the requirement is to have at least a "6" in Listening, Writing, Reading, AND Speaking
Your Reading and Writing scores are too low - therefore, you're ineligible at this point.
Re-taking the test is your option right now.
