Hi there,

I was requested to update documents and submit an "Original Report of IELTS results", because apparently the visa office lost the report that I requested the British Council to send. :'(

But the problem is that I took the test in 2005, so the results expired!

Should I ask the British Council for another report? Do they issue reports that old??

Taking the test again within 90 days is not realistic to me.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Rather than asking here, I suggest you contact the British Council.

PMM

PMM, thank you for your suggestion.

But I've already sent an email (2 weeks ago) to the British Council and no reply whatsoever... :(

I also called but there's no one who can answer this question over the phone.

Now I'm thinking of sending a more formal letter to see what they do. Aaah, what a hassle!

Sorry, I realized my posts are confusing, so let me correct myself.

- I sent an email 2 weeks ago (Jan.11th) to the British Council in Tokyo where I took the test in 2005.
- Got no reply, still waiting...
- Phoned them, without success in getting someone knowledgeable on the line.

So on my first post I was meaning Should I ask the British Council in the UK for the report?

But on second thought, I don't think the UK would bother answering either.

Now I composed a formal letter to the Tokyo office to see if they reply.
Damn, I just need to know if they can issue a new report or not >:(

While you're waiting for their reply, it's a good idea to get prepared for IELTS exam just in case you had to re-take it.

Thanks... I know, that's the worst case scenario...
