Hi
Is IELTS is mandatory for PNP process.I do believe for Federal it is mandatory but for PNP i was told it is not. When I am going thru this forum,it shows some of them are writing for PNP Process too.
If you are in US since 5 years still you need IELTS.
Can any body clarify for the same.
thanks

It depends on the provincial program of every province. Some of them like Alberta require IELTS test result for certain programs of their immigration.
Starting July 1, 2012 -
Most Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applicants to semi- or low-skilled professions will need language testing. This test will show whether your skills meet a minimum standard in each of these four categories: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
This does not apply if you are a temporary foreign worker in a NOC C & D occupation, and who:
•enter Canada on or before July 1, 2012, and
•are nominated by an employer under the PNP streams by July 1, 2013.
