Hi there!
I know the duration of valid IELST certificate is 2 years. I am also aware than academic one is required to apply for universities and colleges and general one - for immigration purposes when apply for CEC, RP. Hence, we need to take IELTS 2 times: before applying for studies and before applying for RP, CEC, etc. Now.
I have a question: can I take only academic IELTS and then use the same IELTS certificate for immigration purposes, as academic standards are anyway higher... Is it Okay? Or they will not accept it??
Because then we have to take IELTS 2 times...
Thx

No. General IELTS is mandatory for immigration. If you submit Academic IELTS results, your immigration application will be automatically refused.
