My overall band is 7, if I take a retest and get a lesser score can we choose the best ielts score for express entry or whether we have to go will the latest score.
seroiusly don't waste money and time in revaluation or atleast don't rely on it. Keep on with the preparations. My dec 16 score L9 R 8 W 6.5 S 7
i wasted my money on writing reassessment and also wasted time waiting hopefully... only to get the result in feb as unchanged. Now I have to begin from start

That's the reason why I didn't opt for revaluation. The process take 6-8 weeks and in that much time, I can take a new test and get results. I ended up taking 5 tests
I got my reevaluation result as well. and the score is same , so money wasted and time wasted. I got the result with 4 weeks . So guys try not to choose re evaluation. I don't think they will increase your score.

I strongly disagree with you. I would go ahead if I was missing 0.5 in either Speaking or Writing. However, I wouldn't sit and wait but take a more proactive approach by taking a test or two while waiting for the reval results.
I was sure that my score will go up but it didn't go . So my point is just go for another attempt. The probability of the increase is 1% i think and i have suffered so that is the reason i was saying that.
Interesting ... Is there any source that could back up your claim? I have been browsing around and came across this Russian site here: http://www.gday.ru/forum/ielts/165130-%D3%F1%EF%E5%F8%ED%EE%F1%F2%FC-%E0%EF%E5%EB%EB%FF%F6%E8%E9-55.html
As you can see, 32% and 21% of the respondents show that their Writing and Speaking respectively has been increased by at least 0.5 points.
If you are that much sure then can you ask them to provide us the evidence of the checking ? According to them the duration of the rechecking is 6-8 weeks , and they sent me within 4 weeks ? why is that so ?

I have no idea why is that and not sure if they will provide any evidence of re-evaluation. I was just implying that there is a considerable chance if you go for it.
