Hello,
I am applying for PGWP with a masters from an DLI university. I still have valid study permit expires on 31st March 2025. I recently gave my IELTS exam and these are the bands
Listening - 8.5
Reading - 5.5
Writing - 6.5
Speaking - 6.5
Overall score - 7
Will I face a rejection because I got 5.5 in reading? If so can I give one skill retake and will IRCC consider the retake score?
Please let me know, I am so worried about this and short of time.

You have to score 6 in each band, Unfortunately, there is no way to re-take one band. You have to sit for IELTS again and ensure you have 6 in each band!

I guess there is an option of one skill retake and I am worried if the immigration will accept that one skill retake score?

I'm not sure about that. Better to call IRCC and find out from them directly. In the meantime, keep on searching on their website.

I called them this morning. The agent didn’t say the retake test score will be accepted or not. He just gave a general reply and sent me links to go through.

As far as I know, you would have to sit for it all over again! Still keep on searching the IRCC website.
Hello,
I am in same situation. IRCC has clearly mentioned for Express Entry 'One skill retake not accepting'. However, for PGWP they didn't mention anything like that. So I am thinking to apply with one skill retake.
Have you applied or got any information ? please keep us posted as well.
Here are links.

- PGWP: IRCC PGWP Requirements
Thanks.
Btw did you try calling IRCC to check on this?
Yeah, they just shared general information .
Have you applied ? or planning to apply with one skill retake ?

What do you mean by less points? There are no points involved when applying for a PGWP.

What type of program did you study in Canada? What is your CLB score?
