ielts band score - 6.5

newbie here. my ielts band score is 6.5. is this good enough for fsw?

listening- 6.5
reading- 6.5
writing- 6.0
speaking- 7.5

ielts points [if i am right] - 12

I'm planning to apply for PR in CEC category for NOC 0213.
My overall IELTS Score is: 6.5
with result for each ability:
Listening - 6.0
Reading - 7.0
Writing - 6.0
Speaking - 6.5

Is it sufficient or shall I appear for test again? Please advise.

as it is and based on the existing criteria, you scored a 12.
we have the same overall score but of varying level per ability.
having said that, come Jan 2013 or even earlier, we still don't know if there'll be changes to IELTS bands required per ability, so it is difficult to tell at this point.

about taking the test again, if you think you have the chance of improving your score and don't mind paying the test fee again, then by all means go for it. afterall, it will be you who will benefit from it.
as u are applying through the CEC stream, check other threads in this forum about that matter for more info before deciding to re-take the test if u thought about it.

just to share with you again...i took the General Test last 12 May 2102 and hoping to achieve better results (8 or 9) for maximum ielts points in the new fsw, i took another GT on 1 Sept 2012 but not able to achieve my target though.

Here's my results:

12 May 2012/1 Sept 2012

listening- 6.5/7.5
reading- 6.5/7.5
writing- 6.0/7.5
speaking- 7.5/7.5

BS- 6.5/7.5

reviews were only based from ielts.org website test materials, specially the writing part.

however the course which i am looking requires no less than 6.0 in any of the parameters pls suggest...
