IEC or ETA

Hello,

Hoping someone can help. I have a Canadian IEC working visa on my current valid new zealand passport that is not yet activated. I plan to travel to Canada for a working holiday in October 2025.
Since receiving my IEC on the New Zealand passport I have become a dual NZ and Australian citizen and now also have an Australian passport as well as the valid New Zealand passport. I plan to visit Canada in late January 2025 for a family ski holiday, not for work. If I enter Canada on my New Zealand passport will it activate my IEC? I don’t want to start the IEC until October.
Should I apply for a separate ETA on my Australian passport and enter on that for the holiday in January or would that cause my IEC to be cancelled?
Any info would be appreciated

You can just travel on your NZ passport but clarify that you are visiting and will be returning home and do not want to initiate your IEC.
