Hello Everyone,

My company has filed LMIA exempt ICT work permit application under GSS in India. Below is my timeline. Want to know from members who filed applications in India, their timelines and specifically time between BVL and PPR.

Application filed: 1 Jun 21
Biometrics letter received: 2 Jun 21
Biometrics given: 7 July 21
Biometrics validation letter: 8 July 21
Approval: Not yet
PPR: Not yet

You have on more step of medicals.

Also the timelines are bit screwed in India. Currently delayed alot. Do share once u get the approval n ppr. As per this currently April 11 to 17th application are being processed.

I did the medicals upfront in feb 21.
Yes, I also checked the official processing timelines but on some threads, as well as some people I know got their PPRs in around one month in 2021. That’s why I wanted to know others Timelines.

did you too apply for ICTwork permit? If yes, can you share your timeline and status?

Application submission 16th Dec 2020.
Biometrics 27th jan
Medicals updated 22nd Feb.
As per lawyers gss was suspended in Dec. So regular application.

Its been 20 weeks now for me since complete application submitted.
My application has spouse and kids as well.

I too got the same answers from our attorneys that 2 week processing is temporarily suspended and the all work permit applications are taking 17-20 weeks.

I am hoping that processing will start post 21st July i.e. When flights resume. As with wp no separate travel authorisation is not required.

I am planning to incorporate Canadian branch of my company and apply for work permit for myself. I have a small travel agency which is operational already 10 years.
Could you please tell me if I need to hire immigration lawer or it is possible to do it on my own ?
Guys please share your experiences

I think 8 july 2021 must be biometrics up-dation confirmation(information that we have received your biometrics). BVL is totally different corrospondence letter sent before decision.

You can do it on your own, but you will have to put alot of efforts. One thing is sure you will progress much faster if you will do it yourself.

Could you guys share the sreps you took while applying for ITC work permit ?
I guess one needs to start with incorporating canadian branch of the company ?
This information will be usefull for everyone who is extending their busuness to Canada and apllying for ITC work permit on their own.
I could not find any thread with this topic.

That's what I heard from the attorneys but yeah, I also do think so it must be the confirmation and not BVL.
