I submitted RCMP upfront, again got RCMP request today.

Hello everyone,

I got a request in mycic to submit RCMP record check. I had already submitted RCMP record check along with other police clearance certificate while I submitted my application last month. Is it normal for CIC to request RCMP letter again?

Secondly, I wanted to ask that my RCMP fingerprint record check was issued in November 2015. Can I just upload this letter or should I get a new one??
Does anyone know the validity of RCMP letters.

I was requested RCMP based on fingerprints on feb 26 which I did and uploaded on March 03 and on March 22 again they sent the request letter for RCMP check. I called CIC and the lady on the other side advised me to upload the same one again and said maybe VO could not see the previous attachment. :

Well mine was only a month old so I uploaded the same. I'm not sure what the validity is for RCMP. I would suggest to get a new one just in case.

I went for getting new one today but I am leaving for my home country in a week. I am not sure if I would be able to receive the new RCMP check report before leaving. Do You have any idea how much time they take thses days ?

Usually they mail it the next day. Rest is the mailing time. Do you have someone who could check the mailbox and scan it and send it you once received?

I did my RCMP check in Late February, the officer in Vancouver said it's 10 days. But I actually receive my report in 6 days. In addition, you only need to scan and upload the report to CIC. So you may ask a trusted friend (or perhaps more ideally a relative) to receive your RCMP report and send the SCANNED report to you so that you can upload it even in you home country.
