My app was received in Buffalo March 8, 2012. Status went to "in process" 2012/09/13
1) In the CAIPS date 2012/10/28 it said my MEDS which were approved have expired. "request new MEDS" They were originally done 2011/07/11.
I haven't heard from them yet but should I just go ahead and get my MEDS re-done and send them in asap? How long will it take for them to review my new MEDS?
2) The other question I have is regarding RCMP fingerprints. They sent me a request for RCMP fingerprints due to my common name. I sent them on 2012/09/15 and on 2012/10/12 they updated the status saying they received my fingerprints and they were sent for review.
Does anyone know how long it takes for a RCMP fingerprint review?
They sent me a request for RPRF and I paid my RPRF on 2012/09/15.
I'm wondering if I'm looking at a couple weeks or am I possibly a few months out still? Any information is appreciated.
Agree. A new process is in place to enable CIC's medical officers to extend the validity of the medicals in certain cases. So its better to wait to hear from CIC in case medicals need to be redone.

New guy: How did you come to know they updated saying they received your fingerprint? is it on ECAS? B/c they asked me again for fingerprints, and I think it is their mistake to ask me again after just few months? Please share your experience.
Yes, it is really quick if you got it done electronically! Just matter of few days! Like my case, RCMP replied me saying they sent the results to CIC, but CIC sent me the letter again to do it. Very starnge. So I forwarded my RCMP email reply this time. Hope you got my point..
In the latest notes updated 10/29 they said "MEDS extended x3" so maybe I won't have to get them done again.
I didn't realize there was an electronic option for fingerprints. How do I go about doing this? And should I bother at this point? They sent my print fingerprints off in early October. I think the fingerprint check is the only thing holding my residency up at this point.
Saint4peace@ There was a jote in my report stating they received my RPRF receipt and my fingerprints. It said they were sent for review. How did you contact the RCMP to see if they had been returned to CIC? I would love to see what the status of my prints are. I wish I knew about the digital option back on Sep. 13 when they requested my fingerprints.
new guy: You could have just asked the place where you went for FP. It could be RCMP or a third party. Just ask them. Now there is NO point doing this again. I just asked the options, and they had the 'facilities' to do so. That's it.

Glad it worked out for you bud. I asked them to take my fingerprints for immigration. They didn't give me any options other than ink. I would have never known about digital prints until I asked on here how long it takes the RCMP to review my prints. I disagree that there is NO point doing this again...I had them done digitally yesterday and got a confirmation email from the RCMP right away. I'm not waiting 120 days anymore.
They received my RCMP clearance and requested a copy of my passport bio-data. I emailed it back right away on Nov. 9. I wonder how far out I am now...?
