i am from India. i have completed 12th in commerce in the year 2010, after one year i joined company secretary course in which i cleared first level and then due to some financial crisis i had to leave the course in between and started working in a financial investment consultancy firm for 2 years. now i have got ample practical knowledge in this field but i don't have degree for the same so i want to get the theoretical knowledge in this field and upgrade myself. so i have applied for diploma course in business finance in Humber college under spp programme and i got offer letter for the same. my query is will i be able to get student visa after this gap. please suggest me what should i do?
Visa depends on your ability to convince the Visa Officer that you are tied to India and will return after your studies and no one will be able to guarantee you that you will get the Visa and you wont find out either until you've applied so,get your application and document together and give it a try!
There are lot of factors which tells the probability of getting a student visa like giving the proper fees and at time, opening gic account if you are applying under spp.
But as you have 5 years gap,i will recommend that you provide the documentation which mention what you were doing in those 5 years, maybe you was working, was studying.
Try that you don't show that you were free and was doing nothing.BUT don't give any illegal or fake document, Canadian embassy will find fraud in any way.
