The Canadian Embassy asked my wife for her passport what does this mean??? Was she granted her Residency?
Will they still ask for an interview or does this mean that we can celebrate???
It depends on the visa office. Some visa offices request the passport early in the process (e.g. Manila). Other offices don't request the passport until they are ready to issued the visa (e.g. Buffalo). Which visa office are you going through?
I am going through the Bogota Colombia Embassy office. I received a letter from my immigration Lawyer which says congratulations they are asking for my wife's passport and that it will be returned to me in 3 weeks. They tell me that the visa office communicated that the processing of her application is completed.
