I have a doubt regarding visa under sds - document missing

I have a doubt regarding my student visa application . Actually i filed my visa yesterday under sds (1 year tuition fee of 2 terms, 10000 GIC) , but forgot to provide some proof of financial support. I had prepared an affidavit of support from my father but I forgot to attach it in my application. Could you please let me know what could be done add this important document. My visa consultant from idp asked me to go the vfs global centre in Bengaluru and hand over the affidavit of support to them, so that they can add it in my application. Is this an acceptable way or there is some other way I can add this *affidavit* of support from my father...
