Hello everyone, need urgent help for applying under Non-SDS program for January 2023 intake.
1. What are the required documents?
2. Does a student has to open a GIC for $10000 ( Read somewhere that they don't need to under this program)
3. Can a student pay for only one tuition fee and still get a visa?
4. How much money do they need to show as financial support?
5. Lastly, what is the processing time under this stream?

The student is a High school graduate with an Overall IELTS Score of 7.5

1. Letter of Acceptance from the college/university. Proof of funds. Temporary Visa Application, etc. (You can find the checklist of documents on the IRCC website).
2. Opening a GIC for C$10,000 is optional if you're applying under Non-SDS. But it is helpful, as it shows the Visa Officer (VO) that you are a serious applicant who has funds for their living expenses.
3. Under Non-SDS you can pay the tuition fee for one semester and still apply for your study permit. Under SDS, you need to pay one year tuition fees.
4. Total Amount = Living Expenses [C$1,000 per month is a good upper limit x the number of years your program is] + tuition fee for the number of years you will study
5. Processing time varies according to the country you are applying from. Check the IRCC website for approximate processing times for your country. It can be one month, three or even six months.
